Certified OR Tech Surgical Tech (CST) – Surgical Services 26-06023

Location: Rochester NY
Shift: Day/Mid Shift 4x10 Hours

• 11:00 AM 9:30 PM
• 1:00 PM 11:30 PM
  Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Tech (CST) for a travel assignment in Rochester New York. This position requires a highly skilled surgical professional with strong multi-specialty operating room experience and the ability to support a wide variety of complex surgical procedures in a fast-paced acute care environment.

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments supplies and equipment
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and comply with infection prevention standards
• Anticipate surgeon needs and efficiently manage instrumentation during procedures
• Assist with patient positioning room turnover and specimen handling
• Ensure compliance with sharps safety and universal protocol procedures
• Participate in decontamination and sterilization processes
• Document surgical procedures and supplies accurately

• CST certification required
  • Exception: Candidates who worked as a Surgical Tech in New York prior to 2015 may qualify without CST certification

• Minimum 3 years of recent Surgical Tech experience preferred
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

• Orthopedics
• Spine Surgery
• Gynecology
• Robotics
• Thoracic Surgery
• Urology
• Colorectal procedures

Experience with the following is strongly required:

• Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Laparoscopic procedures
• Total joint replacements
• Craniotomies and spinal procedures
• Vascular repairs and bypass grafts
• Aseptic technique and sterilization processes
