Job Summary

Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Skilled Nursing Facility

Location: Lynchburg TN
Shift: Day Shift 8-Hour Shifts
Duration: 13 Weeks
Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for an immediate travel assignment in Lynchburg Tennessee. This role is based in a Skilled Nursing Facility where the COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to residents.

The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatric rehabilitation and a strong commitment to improving patients independence mobility and quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist

  • Provide direct therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing setting

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including dressing bathing grooming and mobility

  • Document patient progress and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist

  • Support therapeutic exercises and functional activity programs

  • Monitor patient response to therapy and ensure safe treatment practices

  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including nurses therapists and physicians

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Ensure compliance with facility policies safety standards and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Previous SNF or rehabilitation experience preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to follow treatment plans under OT supervision

  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
