Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a Skilled Nursing Facility in La Mesa this role you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support patients in regaining independence with daily living activities following illness injury or surgery. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a geriatric and post-acute population while making a direct impact on patient recovery and quality of life.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Guide patients through therapeutic activities focused on improving daily living skills
Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and proper use of equipment
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress
Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards

Requirements
Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in California
Current BLS/CPR certification
Minimum of 6 months of recent COTA experience within the last 5 years preferred
Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric setting is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
