The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides skilled support in occupational therapy services primarily in skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings. The assistant works under the supervision of occupational therapists to improve patients functional abilities and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients in SNF environments.
Support patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities to improve daily living skills.
Document patient progress and treatment outcomes using Rehab Optima (NetHealth) computer system.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate records and comply with facility policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Certifications:
Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.
Proficiency with Rehab Optima (NetHealth) computer system or similar electronic documentation tools.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
Additional rehabilitation or therapy-related certifications or training.
Experience with diverse patient populations and complex rehabilitation cases.
