Job Summary

Metro PT/Ignite Rehab is looking for an experienced and reliable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to work closely with and under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. Were looking for someone to treat full time within Morris-Passaic-Bergen counties.

All levels of experience are encouraged to apply and will train the right new graduate.

  • Job Type: Full time 30-visits per week
  • Location: Morris-Passaic-Bergen County coverage zones
  • Schedule: Flexible!

Responsibilities:

  • Implements the occupational therapy plan of care as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan agency policy and professional standards of care.
  • Instructs family members Home Health Aides and other caregivers in appropriate occupational therapy techniques.
  • Ability to travel to and from the homes of your patients throughout your given territory.
  • Strong communication skills between patients support staff and management including timely responses via text email phone etc.
  • Must be willing to treat geriatric patients.

Qualifications :

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program
  • Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of New Jersey. 
  • Must have a minimum of 2 yrs of experience
  • Mandatory Certifications: First Aid AED & CPR Certifications.
  • Home health experience is preferred but not required - We will provide you with a mentor to help with documentation and compliance.
  • Ability to travel to patients homes within the assigned geographic territory
  • Strong communication skills between patients support staff and management including timely responses via text email phone etc.
