Job Description

What you will be doing: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Occupational Therapist.
Assist the Occupational Therapist in obtaining vital signs ranges of motion and strength testing.
Coordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on participants’ individual treatment plans.
Handle scheduling of participants’ treatments clinical visits and billing.
Document occupational therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to the use of devices techniques and activities to promote muscle re-education perceptual-motor and cognitive function balance and endurance and other factors affecting independence in performing ADLs.

Experience you will need: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) associate’s degree from an accredited program.
Valid California OTA license or proof of license eligibility.
Minimum of two (2) years of OTA experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
OTA knowledge necessary to treat frail elderly participants with complex needs.
