Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Certified OB Tech for a 13-week travel assignment within Surgical Services. This role provides essential support for Labor & Delivery and obstetrical surgical procedures in a high-volume clinical environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sterile technique surgical instrumentation and obstetrical procedural support while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during obstetrical surgeries and procedures
- Prepare sterile fields surgical instruments and procedural supplies
- Support cesarean sections and emergency obstetrical procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical equipment and instruments
- Assist with patient preparation positioning and transport
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and surgical safety standards
- Monitor and restock procedural and surgical supplies
- Maintain accurate procedural documentation and records
- Collaborate effectively with Labor & Delivery and surgical teams
- Respond efficiently in fast-paced and high-acuity situations
Required Qualifications
- Certified OB Tech certification required
- Previous OB Tech and Surgical Services experience required
- Strong sterile processing and surgical support knowledge required
- Ability to work effectively in acute care obstetrical settings required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills required
- Experience assisting with cesarean sections preferred
