Key Responsibilities

The Utah Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a highly motivated qualified individual to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Correctional Health Services Division. If you would like an opportunity to join a team of passionate individuals who work hard in providing quality medical care this is the job for you.

Please note: An offer of employment will be contingenton the applicant successfully passing a DHHS background
check and pre-employment drug testing and a Utah Department of Corrections(UDC) background screening.

• Provide care to inmate patients at the Utah State Correctional Facility
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living
• Perform vital signs and laboratory point-of-care testing
• Provide care as supervised by a Registered Nurse

Supplemental Information

• Must have current Certification of Nursing Assistant (CNA). Utah Administrative Rules R432-45
• Requires considerable & strenuous physical exertion such as long periods of standing walking bending crouching reaching recurring lifting. Must be able to life and carry over 50 pounds.
• Risks found in potentially dangerous or unusual environmental stress situations e.g. being subject to possible physical attack.

Qualifications

Minimum or day-one qualifications:

• Currentand unrestricted certification as a certified nursing assistant.

Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications:

• Basic Life Support Certification
