Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Part-Time

RiverView Health is a community owned membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston MN.

RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing dressing grooming toileting ambulation and feeding.
• Obtain and document vital signs weights and other basic clinical data in the electronic medical record.
• Monitor patients and report changes in condition or behavior to the RN.
• Provide assistance with mobility transfers use of assistive devices and prevention of falls.
• Maintain patient hygiene room cleanliness and infection control standards.
• Assist with transporting patients to procedures departments or discharge locations.
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs in a timely and courteous manner.
• Set up equipment and supplies for patient care and assist nursing staff with procedures as needed.
• Promote a safe respectful and healing environment by following hospital policies and demonstrating professional behavior.
• Participate in shift reports team meetings and continuing education as required.

Minimum(s):

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Minnesota
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire

Preferred(s):

• 2 years of hospital experience
• Experience with Electronic Medical Systems (Epic)

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete documentation accurately.
• Physical ability to stand walk lift bend and assist patients as needed
