Avalon View Health and Wellness is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants to join our day-shift nursing team in Liberty Missouri.

POSITION DETAILS

Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
12-hour shifts
Rotating weekends
Full-time or part-time
Pay range: $18 to $20 per hour
$2500 sign-on bonus
$1.50 per hour shift differential from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
$3.50 per hour weekend differential when applicable

Sign-on bonus starting rate and shift differentials are subject to applicable eligibility requirements and program terms.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care and assists residents with daily needs under the direction of a licensed nurse. This includes personal care mobility meals hydration activities positioning comfort and other routine services provided within the CNAs authorized scope of practice.

The CNA helps residents maintain as much independence as possible while ensuring their safety dignity privacy and individual preferences are respected.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist residents with bathing grooming dressing toileting oral care and other personal hygiene needs
Help residents with meals feeding snacks supplements and hydration as directed by the residents care plan
Assist residents with walking transferring turning repositioning and range-of-motion activities
Safely use wheelchairs mechanical lifts and other approved equipment according to resident needs and facility procedures
Assist residents in preparing for and traveling to appointments activities meals and social programs
Respond promptly and respectfully to resident call lights and requests for assistance
Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition behavior skin integrity appetite mobility or level of functioning to the licensed nurse
Measure and record vital signs intake and output weights and other information as assigned
Document the care provided and the residents response accurately and within required timeframes
Follow resident care plans infection prevention practices and safety procedures
Maintain clean and comfortable resident rooms and personal areas within the scope of assigned duties
Protect resident rights privacy dignity and confidentiality
Communicate respectfully with residents families coworkers and members of the interdisciplinary care team

QUALIFICATIONS

Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the State of Missouri
Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
Ability to work collaboratively as part of the nursing team
Flexibility when resident needs or priorities change
Professional and compassionate demeanor
Ability to safely perform the physical responsibilities of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Commitment to treating every resident with compassion dignity and respect
