Position Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Hays State Prison provides essential support to the nursing and medical team by assisting with daily patient care and maintaining a safe clean and organized clinical environment. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable detail-oriented and thrives in a structured healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living including hygiene mobility and basic patient needs
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
• Support nurses with patient care tasks and clinical procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility protocols
• Ensure a clean safe and organized patient care environment
• Always follow infection control and safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Georgia required
• Current and Active CPR certification required
• Previous experience in corrections long-term care or hospital setting preferred
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to work in a structured team-oriented environment
