Job Title: Certified Medical Coder Inpatient
Location: Brooklyn New York
Job Duration: Contract
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Hours: 35 per week

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Inpatient Medical Coder to work in an acute care hospital environment. The coder will be responsible for accurate assignment of ICD-10 codes and ensuring compliance with federal payer and hospital coding guidelines.

• Perform inpatient and ED medical coding in an acute care setting
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM CPT and procedure codes
• Use encoder systems (3M/HDS) for coding support
• Ensure compliance with payer and federal billing guidelines
• Research and resolve coding-related issues
• Apply knowledge of anatomy physiology and disease processes
• Maintain accuracy and productivity standards
• Work with electronic medical record systems and coding software
• Support coder training and quality initiatives when needed

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
• Minimum 3 years coding experience in inpatient setting
• Strong experience with ICD-10 coding
• CCS certification (required)
• Experience with 3M/HDS encoder system
• Inpatient Emergency Department coding experience required
• Strong understanding of coding and billing guidelines
