We are seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. This clinical professional will provide support in patient care assisting with exams treatments and patient education.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures
  • Room patients record patient histories vital signs and document in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Administer medications immunizations and treatments per scope of licensure
  • Educate patients on health medications and follow-up care
  • Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
  • Ensure a clean safe and organized clinical environment
Qualifications
  • Valid and current certification in the state of Iowa for Medical Assisting
    • Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate diploma orAssociates Degree)required.
    • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:
      • NationalHealthcareAssociation
      • American Association of Medical Assistants
      • National Center forCompetencyTesting
      • National Certified Medical Assistant
      • National Association of Health Professionals
      • American Registry of Medical Assistants
      • American Allied Health
      • American Medical Technologists
    • Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
    • Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
  • For positions within UnityPoint Clinic team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
