  • Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support both clinical and administrative operations within a busy Bariatric Surgery outpatient department in Neptune NJ.

The ideal candidate will have strong outpatient clinical experience excellent patient communication skills and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare exam rooms supplies and instruments for patient visits
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs accurately in EMR systems
  • Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
  • Collect patient history and perform medication reconciliation
  • Perform:
    • EKGs
    • PFTs
    • Audiometry
    • Titmus testing
    • Phlebotomy
    • UDS and BAT collections
  • Process insurance authorizations and support billing/collections activities
  • Schedule appointments admissions and medical procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records and EMR documentation
  • Provide patient education regarding wellness disease prevention and follow-up care
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of clinical equipment
  • Support patient screening activities both in-person and over the phone
Required Qualifications
  • Current CMA or RMA Certification required
  • Current AHA BLS Certification required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical or ambulatory care experience preferred
  • Experience with patient intake vital signs and medical documentation required
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume outpatient setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
