Position Summary Client is seeking experienced and safety-focused Certified Liftra Operators / Major Component Exchange Technicians to support major corrective operations across wind farms throughout North America. This role is responsible for operating Liftra tower cranes and supporting the removal replacement and installation of major wind turbine components including gearboxes generators main bearings hubs blades and drive train assemblies.
The ideal candidate has previous wind industry experience strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of heavy lifting rigging and advanced turbine repair operations.
Responsibilities
Operate Liftra tower crane systems in accordance with OEM manufacturer and site-specific procedures
Perform major component exchanges (MCE) on wind turbines including:
Gearboxes
Generators
Main bearings
Rotors and hubs
Yaw systems
Blade and drivetrain components
Assist with crane assembly disassembly rigging and lift planning activities
Interpret lift plans engineering drawings and technical documentation
Conduct pre-use inspections of lifting equipment rigging gear and safety systems
Maintain compliance with OSHA GWOand customer safety standards
Perform mechanical and electrical disconnect/reconnect activities during exchanges
Complete torqueing tensioning alignment and precision assembly tasks
Document completed work inspections and repair activities using digital reporting systems
Communicate effectively with site leadership customers engineers and field teams
Support troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities as required
Maintain clean and organized work areas tools and equipment

Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 2 4 years of wind turbine experience preferred
Previous Major Component Exchange (MCE) or heavy lift experience strongly preferred
Current and valid Liftra Certified Operator credential required
Demonstrated experience operating Liftra LT1200 or comparable Liftra self-hoisting crane systems preferred
Knowledge of rigging load handling and critical lift procedures
Ability to read and understand mechanical hydraulic and electrical schematics
Comfortable working at heights exceeding 300 feet
Ability to climb turbines daily and work in physically demanding environments
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
Ability to travel 100% across North America
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening background check and fit-for-duty requirements
Preferred Certifications
GWO Basic Safety Training (BST)
GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
NCCCO or equivalent crane/rigging certifications
First Aid/CPR/AED certification
OEM certifications (GE SGRE Vestas Nordex etc.)
