Certified DME & Prosthetic Fitters Washington, DC

Were hiring experienced DME and Prosthetic Fitters to provide handson medical device fitting adjustments and patient education. If you have orthotic prosthetic or DME fitting experience and enjoy helping patients improve mobility and comfort we want to talk to you.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Sign-on Bonus: $2500.00 - $5000.00
• Hourly pay: $43.55 per hour

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure fit and adjust DME devices including braces supports compression garments and mobility equipment
• Fit and adjust prosthetic components sockets suspension systems and alignment as appropriate
• Educate patients on device use care and safety
• Document all fittings adjustments and followup interactions in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate professionally with patients clinicians and internal staff
• Troubleshoot comfort alignment and functional issues
• Maintain equipment supplies and a clean work environment
• Travel to patient locations or partner facilities as required

Required Qualifications:

• Experience fitting DME devices or prosthetic components
• The Registered/Certified Fitter shall be certified with the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) the Board for Certification/Accreditation International (BOC) or both. Further the Fitter shall have completed an ABC/BOC-approved training/educational program and shall include a certificate of completion of this course with his/her resume.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy sizing and device adjustment
• Strong patientcare communication skills
• Ability to accurately document services and follow structured workflows
• Valid drivers license (if travel is required)
• Ability to pass background screening and compliance checks
