Certified Athletic Trainer Sports Medicine Coordinator

Join our RUSH Physical Therapy sports medicine team in a dynamic hybrid role that combines collegiate athletic training coverage with leadership and program development responsibilities. This position will dedicate approximately 75% of time serving as the Athletic Trainer for Oakton College providing injury prevention evaluation treatment rehabilitation return-to-play management and sideline coverage for student-athletes. The remaining 25% of time will focus on Sports Medicine Coordinator responsibilities supporting the implementation and growth of local sports medicine programs community outreach initiatives school partnerships special events and strategic relationship development within the market. The Sports Medicine Coordinator role includes helping to develop and maintain community partnerships coordinating outreach activities supporting athletic training personnel fostering relationships with physicians and referral sources assisting with marketing initiatives and identifying opportunities to expand sports medicine services. This unique position is ideal for an athletic trainer who is passionate about direct athlete care while also seeking leadership experience and the opportunity to influence the growth of sports medicine programs in the Chicagoland area.

Schedule: Weekdays/Weekends (Typical ATC hours)

Compensation: $65000 - $75000 annually based on years of experience

What Youll Do:

• • Provide comprehensive athletic training services for Oakton College student-athletes.
  • Manage injury evaluation treatment rehabilitation and documentation.
  • Deliver event and practice coverage for athletic programs.
  • Support the development and coordination of sports medicine outreach programs and partnerships.
  • Assist with community events school relationships and sports medicine marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians coaches rehabilitation professionals and community stakeholders to enhance athlete health and performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
• CPR certification
• Applicable state license where required
• 2 Years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree
