Certified Activity Director

Fox Subacute is seeking aCertified Activity Director to lead and develop meaningful engaging and person-centered recreational programs for our residents. The ideal candidate is compassionate creative organized and passionate about improving the quality of life of our residents.

The Activity Director will oversee the planning implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive activities program designed to meet the social emotional physical cognitive and spiritual needs of our residents.

• Develop and maintain a diverse monthly activities calendar.

• Plan and coordinate individual and group activities based on residents interests abilities and care needs.

• Organize entertainment games arts and crafts music exercise outings holiday celebrations and special events.

• Encourage resident participation while respecting individual preferences and independence.

• Coordinate activities with nursing dietary social services rehabilitation and other departments.

• Maintain accurate documentation and records.

• Conduct resident assessments and use the information to develop individualized activity plans.

• Develop relationships with community organizations entertainers schools and volunteers.

• Ensure activities are conducted safely and in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations.

• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team activities as required.

• Create a warm welcoming environment that promotes dignity purpose and social connection.

• Current Activity Director certification required (such as an applicable state-approved or nationally recognized certification).

• Previous experience working in a nursing home skilled nursing facility or senior care setting preferred.

• Strong communication leadership and organizational skills.

• Creative and enthusiastic approach to resident programming.

• Ability to work effectively with older adults families staff volunteers and community partners.

• Knowledge of person-centered care and activities programming.

• Must be dependable professional and able to work independently.
