Job Summary
We are seeking a Certification Engineer to lead hardware and software testing for fire safety products ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting new product development. The role involves setting up and managing test labs preparing test plans coordinating with certification agencies and driving product approval strategies. You will act as the regulatory technical expert collaborate with engineering teams and resolve compliance issues to deliver certified high quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage product test labs for regulatory compliance.
- Develop and revise test and quality procedures.
- Interpret regulatory standards and advise engineering teams.
- Define product approval strategies and coordinate with agencies (UL ULC ETL FM).
- Perform hardware/software testing risk analysis and corrective actions.
- Support new product development and design validation.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electronics Electrical Mechanical or Computer Science.
- 5 years of experience testing fire safety products.
- NICET certification.
- 2 years in product development agency approvals or test labs.
- Preferred: Experience in UL DAP FM LABQUAL Intertek labs.
