What were looking for

Central Sterile Supply Tech Collects decontaminates stores and distributes all reusable supplies and patient care equipment in the hospital.

How youll contribute

ACentral Sterile Supply Techwho excels in this role:

  • Provide inspection decontamination assembly and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines AAMI AORN TJC and OSHA requirements.
  • Operate departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety.
  • Provide customer service to all departments with a focus on patient needs.
  • Process and document all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.
  • Monitor and perform antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

  • Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Schedule: Full Time: Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM -6:00 PM and on call Friday - Sunday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
