Sentara is hiring a Supervisor Central Sterile Service Technician at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk Virginia.
Shift: 9pm- 7am Weekdays
Job Description
Supervise and coordinate the staff and daily operations to include decontamination assembly sterilization storing and distributing all instruments handled by Central Sterile Services. Assembles and disassembles case carts. Ensures staff compliance with sterilization techniques policies and procedures. Functions as a leader preceptor and educator. Manages and maintains department inventory and equipment. Collaborates with surgical team to coordinate timely delivery of sterile instruments for surgeries and procedures. Assist leader with compliance to ensure the department complies with all local state and federal healthcare regulations and standards. Develop and implement training programs for new staff and ongoing education for current team members.
Education
HSD/GED REQUIRED
Certification/Licensure
Required- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Certification - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
Experience
3 years related CSS sterilization or central sterile processing experience REQUIRED
