Education and Experience Required:

High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience with operating and maintaining boilers chillers HVAC equipment utility systems or industrial mechanical equipment.

Certifications Licenses or Registration required:

Valid Drivers License required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Vocational or technical training in stationary engineering.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of central plant equipment including boilers chillers and HVAC systems; Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems; Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and in a team including on-call and rotating shift schedules; Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain central plant equipment including boilers chillers pumps and related systems.
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on central plant equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and system failures.
• Perform necessary repairs or coordinate and collaborate with other facilities technicians on complex repairs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment and assist in maintaining compliance with local state and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections maintenance and repairs as well as detailed logs of central plant operations and maintenance activities.
• Implement energy-saving measures and strategies to reduce operational costs.
