Central Intake Coordinator

What You Will Do:

• Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to communicate effectively with individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to assess risk and work effectively with challenging and diverse populations.
• Knowledge of BHN substance use programs other BHN programs and community resources including how to help individuals access them; knowledge of medication clinic workflows and processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills including email and database systems; EHR experience helpful.
• Knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders and treatment including severe mental illness.
• Experience verifying insurance preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience; call center or intake experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred.
