Job Summary: We are seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Assistant with a strong work ethic and desire to have a long-term career with a successful optometric team. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient work-up visual acuity refracting visual fields OCT tonometry and contact lens insertion and removal.
Essential Job Functions:

- Perform optometric pretesting including but not limited to visual acuity auto-refraction manual refraction tonometry topography OCT visual field manual lensometry.
- Record chief complaint medications and medical history.
- Assist patients with contact lens insertion removal and care compliance training.
- Assist and provide patients with excellent customer service and any necessary information regarding treatment

Education and Experience:
- Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
- High school or equivalent education
- CPOA or COA certification preferred.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position located in Fort Myers FL
- Shifts are scheduled Monday - Friday between 8 am - 5 pm
- Travel to other locations as necessary
