The CDN Solutions team works across 6 CDN platforms (including Apples own CDN) to onboard customers configure properties and keep things running at Media Products seeks a CDN Solutions Engineer to join the Content Delivery Network Solutions team in Cupertino California. This role is for an experienced self-directed engineer who can independently identify problems build solutions and work directly with engineering teams across Apple without waiting to be told what needs doing.n

nAs a CDN Solutions Engineer youll work directly with engineering teams across Apple marketing software engineering AI/ML IT and more to design and implement CDN solutions tailored to their needs. When issues arise youll troubleshoot: pulling logs analyzing metrics running DNS and HTTP diagnostics and working with customers to resolve latency and availability problems. Youll also identify and build tools that make the teams work faster more consistent and less manual this is a role where youre expected to notice whats missing not just execute whats engagement brings a different system a different set of challenges and often a new technology to get up to speed on. When Apple launches something new theres usually a CDN solution that needs to exist before it can go live the work is rarely visible to the end user but its foundational to making both new and existing products work at scale. Its a role that keeps you close to what Apple is building broadly not just your own corner of team itself is a tight experienced group most engineers have been working in the CDN space for over a decade. The team is self-directed and runs lean on process; theres no backlog of pre-scoped tickets waiting for you. What stays constant is the depth of expertise around you and the expectation that youll bring your own. The team spans across multiple time zones operating as a single group which means youre rarely far from someone whos seen the problem operates on a hybrid schedule currently 3 days in office 2 days remote.n

4 years working with Content Delivery Networks caching routing origin configuration headers and TLSn4 years of production software development in Python Go or ability to troubleshoot HTTP and DNS issues in live production environmentsnExperience analyzing logs and metrics to root-cause issues under time pressuren

Experience with CDN configuration languages VCL (Varnish/Fastly) Lua (nginx/OpenResty) or EdgeWorkers/NodenExperience with multiple CDN vendors (Akamai Fastly Cloudflare etc.)nFamiliarity with observability tooling Grafana Splunk or similarnComfort in a polyglot codebase (Python Node Go PHP)nGolang development experiencenStrong written and verbal communication skillsn
