CDL Operator

A CDL driver or Commercial Drivers License driver isresponsible for operating large trucks and tractor-trailers to transport goods to include aggregates sand gravel and concrete material across various locations. Employee will be adhering to all traffic and safety regulations while delivering loads on time requiring a valid Commercial Drivers License to legally operate such vehicles;their duties include pre-trip inspections securing cargo navigating routes maintaining logs and complying with weight and hour restrictions.

a commercial vehicle in a safe and responsible manner following all traffic laws and company safety guidelines.

thorough pre-trip inspections of the truck checking for mechanical issues tire pressure lights and fluid levels.

load and unload cargo using appropriate techniques ensuring proper weight distribution and compliance with regulations.. Loading and unloading trucks.

to all federal and state regulations regarding weight limits hours of service and hazardous materials transportation.

with customers professionally delivering goods on time and addressing any concerns.

minor maintenance tasks on the truck such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels.

any vehicle malfunctions accidents or incidents to dispatch immediately

a daily truck log and submitting mileage reports

with dispatchers and other drivers using onboard radios or computers.

safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.

all company road and customer policies and safety requirements.

other duties as assigned.

hold a CDL with the appropriate endorsements depending on the type of cargo being transported.

be able to work with technology and work with system applications in order to record driving data.

have DOT Physical Medical Card- DOT Physical Card is REQUIRED- no exceptions.

be able to pass Drug and Alcohol testing.

2 years of experience with CDL.

to adapt to changing conditions troubleshoot equipment and find new routes when needed.

be able to frequently ascend and descend from equipment.
