CDL Driver Part-Time

Position Summary:

Ballard Truck Center isseekinga highlymotivated and qualified applicants to fill the unique position ofCDL Driver. This positionis responsible forvehicle delivery and returning vehicles to Ballard locations and Ballard customersfor the Sales and Service Department.

Responsibilities and Duties/Essential Functions:

• Followappropriate safetyprocedures while driving trucks to destination of Ballard locations or customer locations in New England

• Reportvehicle defects accidents traffic violations or damage to the vehiclesand report tolocationmanager if anyissuearefound

• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Class 8 driving experiencerequired

• Clean driving recordrequired

• CDL Class B licenserequired; CDL Class A license preferred

• Must be able to drive Standard Transmission to perform road tests

• Abilityto read and follow written instructions isrequired.

• Ability to work independently customer service skills organizational skills and a positive attitude arerequired

• Regular predictable full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willing and able to travel as necessaryworkthe required schedule work at the specific locationrequired. This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation ordesignatedas safety sensitive by the company and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner isrequired. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety as well as the safety of others.
