CDL Driver Grapple Truck (St. Augustine, FL)

Position Summary:

The driver position is responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and providing prompt and complete collection services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs complete pre and post operation inspection of a commercial vehicle in accordance with FCC policy to ensure tire pressure fluid levels; safety equipment gauges etc. are in proper working order

• Responsible for the safe operation of commercial vehicles on assigned routesto include highways residential communities and alleyways

• Operates manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with FCCs safety policies and procedures

• Courteously interacts with all necessary personnel dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all services are completed in a timely and professional manner

• Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time

• Accurately completes required documents and other reports as

• Maintains adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner

• Responsible for adhering to and upholdingall safety policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

Education:

• High School diploma or GED

Experience and Competencies:

• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred

• Valid CDL Class A or B

• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary

• Must meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations

• Must be registered with the FMCSAs Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
