This position is open only to non-classified permanent employees of the listed department and division within that department.

We steward 15 million objects photographs and archival resources that make up the States collection and serve tens of thousands of learners of all ages through dynamic programs.

Applicants must possess the following experience (note that part-time experience will be prorated):
- Three (3) years of full-time professional experience in a museum setting with a primary focus on:
- Guest services and gift shop management.
- Supervision of volunteer programs.
- Public programming development related to history content.
- At least two (2) of those years must include professional experience with a primary focus on the development of exhibitions for a museum.
Substitutions:
- A bachelors degree from an accredited institution or college in History Womens/Gender Studies Museum Studies or another relevant field will count for 1 year of required experience.
Proven Experience Knowledge Skills: Preferred Qualifications:
- A strong background in history with general knowledge of Colorado history.
- A background in gender studies.
- Experience in retail sales and customer service.
- Experience in volunteer supervision.
- Experience and confidence in editing multiple styles of writing.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- The ability to establish and manage multiple project schedules.
- Basic research abilities.
- An enthusiasm to explore ideas amplify diverse voices and help others discover what makes Colorado Colorado.
- Basic design skills with Adobe InDesign and Canva.
- Relevant experience working for the State of Colorado.

Fair Pay & Compensation: History Colorado is committed to pay equity. The posted salary range represents our good faith estimate for this role. Final offers are determined by a comprehensive salary analysis in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act considering factors such as a candidates relevant experience education work location and internal equity.
