Job Summary

Job Title: Cath Lab Technician

Location: Port St Lucie FL
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician with strong scrub experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting. Candidates must have experience in Cardiac Cath Lab plus at least one additional modality from the following: Interventional Radiology (IR) Vascular or Neuro Interventional Procedures. Experience in at least two of the four modalities must be clearly reflected in the candidates work history.

Schedule
  • Shift details to be discussed during the interview
  • Guaranteed Hours:
    • 36 hours/week for 12-hour schedules
    • 40 hours/week for 8- or 10-hour schedules
  • Weekend requirements discussed with hiring manager
  • Call required based on unit needs; schedule determined by department
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 months of Cath Lab experience required
  • 2 years of specialty experience preferred
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • BLS Certification (AHA) required
  • ACLS Certification (AHA) required
  • Active required credentials must be in hand before submission
Preferred Certifications
  • RCVT (Registered Cardiovascular Technician)
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
Required Clinical Experience

Candidates must have experience in two of the following four areas:

  • Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
  • Interventional Radiology (IR)
  • Vascular Procedures
  • Neuro Interventional Procedures
Responsibilities
  • Scrub and assist during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
  • Prepare procedure rooms equipment and sterile fields.
  • Assist physicians during catheterization vascular neuro and interventional procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique and patient safety standards.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and ensure procedural readiness.
  • Collaborate with physicians nurses and procedural team members.
