How youll contribute

A Cat Scan Technicianwho excels in this role:

  • Reviews patient history and physicians orders.

  • Educates patients on procedures equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.

  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered.

  • Monitors patient condition and responds to changes appropriately.

  • Prepares equipment and supplies; implements safety standards and performs quality control checks.

  • Troubleshoots resolves and/or reports equipment malfunctions.

  • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures.

  • Analyzes imaging results identifies quality issues and takes corrective action including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if needed.

  • Enters transmits and reports scan results.

What were looking for

  • Education: Two-year certificate Associates degree or Baccalaureate degree.

  • Licenses/Certifications: Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice; registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology and Computed Tomography; BLS required.
