Cashier

Golden Chick Cashiers are responsible for providing outstanding customer service while accurately taking customer orders processing payments and ensuring orders are assembled correctly. This position also helps maintain a clean organized and efficient restaurant environment to deliver a positive experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately at the front counter and drive-thru (if applicable).
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process cash credit/debit card and other payment transactions accurately.
• Assemble and package customer orders ensuring all food items sides condiments utensils and beverages are accurate and complete.
• Verify orders before handing them to customers to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front counter dining area beverage station and workstations.
• Restock cups lids napkins condiments packaging supplies and other front-of-house items as needed.
• Assist with light food preparation and other restaurant duties when needed.
• Follow all food safety sanitation and company policies.
• Work efficiently with kitchen staff and team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Perform opening closing and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order packing.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Dependable punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Previous cashier or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
