Carrier Sales Representative

Responsibilities:

• Negotiating with carriers in order to maximize profitability/ improve efficiency by identifying ways to improve cost savings;
• Use various software tools to assist in finding equipment/freight and calculating rates; Scheduling/Coordinating truck shipments and addressing any issues that come up during transit;
• Maintaining carrier database by keeping pricing and contact information current;
• Auditing/correcting carrier freight invoices and BOLs as necessary for payment;
• Dispatching drivers/carriers on routes;
• Ensuring accurate recording of arrival and departure times.

Requirements:

• Experience in freight brokerage/3PL with a desire to grow professionally (an asset);
• Experience with Salesforce

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines;
• Demonstrated ability to stay current and accurately interpret industry trends;
  
• Excellent customer service communication and computer skills (Microsoft Word Excel and data entry systems);
• Ability to positively influence culture and behavior and work effectively with all levels within the company;
