What you will do day to day:

1. Strategic Sourcing & Lane Development

  1. Capacity Procurement: Proactivelyidentifyand qualify asset-based carriers to service recurring lanes and project freight.

  1. The Buy Strategy: Executepurchasingstrategies that improve margin consistency. Youarentjust covering loads; you are buying capacity at the right price point to ensure long-term profitability.

2. Negotiation & Pricing Support

  1. Rate Negotiation: Negotiate standing orders and dedicated pricing with carriers moving relationships from transactional spot-rates to contract rates.

  1. Benchmarking:Monitormarket indices (DATFreightWaves etc.) to ensure our procurement costsremaincompetitive.

3. Operational Excellence (For Sourced Lanes)

  1. Carrier Accountability: Ensure carriers you onboard adhere to service requirements for the specific lanes they service (tracking equipment quality on-time performance).

  1. CRM / TMS Management:Maintainimpeccable records in our TMS (Revenova) ensuring carrier profiles lane preferences and rate history areaccurateand actionable for the broader team.

  1. Troubleshooting: Act as the primary escalation point for the strategic carriers you manage solving high-level issues that threaten the relationship.

$60000 - $70000 a year
