PURPOSEUnder general supervision constructs erects and repairs wood based structures using carpentry tools and knowledge of carpentry practices and DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESConstructs erects and repairs wooden structures such as houses barns commercial buildings garages and similar structures; reads blueprints or sketches or from verbal instructions. Understands local building codes to ensure that structures comply with structural safety and other regulatory hand tools and power tools to saw to size nail shim fit and finish wooden work area neat and orderly; ensures that premises are cleaned and debris is appropriately disposed at the end of the work and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily weekly project or team related production and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety duties may be RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
