Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate dependable and experienced Caregivers to provide non-medical one-on-one in-home care to seniors and adults throughout Dyer IN and surrounding Lake and Porter County communities.
This opportunity may be a great fit for experienced Caregivers CNAs HHAs PCAs DSPs Home Care Aides Personal Care Assistants Direct Support Professionals Home Care Assistants and Private Duty Caregivers who are looking for flexible part-time or PRN opportunities.

Responsibilities
Depending on the clients individualized care plan responsibilities may include:
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming toileting feeding and transfers
- Provide companionship conversation and social engagement
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping laundry and dishes
- Provide medication reminders within the scope of non-medical home care
- Assist with mobility and ambulation using walkers wheelchairs gait belts or other approved equipment
- Observe and report changes in the clients condition behavior or needs
- Use our mobile app to clock in and out and complete required care documentation
- Follow individualized care plans infection-control practices safety procedures and agency policies
- Maintain client confidentiality dignity and professionalism
Qualifications
- Previous caregiving experience in home care private duty care assisted living senior care direct care disability support or a similar setting
- 2 years of caregiving experience preferred
- Experience as a Caregiver CNA HHA PCA DSP Home Care Aide Personal Care Assistant Direct Support Professional or similar caregiving role is welcome
- CNA or HHA certification is not required for all positions
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Valid drivers license and proof of auto insurance when driving is required for an assignment
- Ability to successfully complete a required national background screening
- Current TB documentation and CPR certification or ability to complete required documentation before assignment
- Comfortable using a smartphone or mobile app for scheduling communication and documentation
- Dependable professional compassionate and able to follow an individualized care plan
Position Details
- Pay: $15.00$18.00 per hour
- Position Type: PRN Part-time
- Schedules: Days evenings overnights and weekends depending on current client needs
- Primary Service Area: Dyer IN and surrounding Lake and Porter County communities
- FLSA Status: Non-exempt hourly
- Reports To: Staffing Coordinator
