Job Summary
Duties And Responsibilities
CAREER PROGRAM AND EVENT SUPPORT Support the CDI team with program planning and career readiness initiatives Table in the student center to promote CDI services and programs to encourage student awareness and engagement Represent the CDI at other campus tabling opportunities (e.g. Study Abroad Fair Grad Finale Admissions Open Houses) Contribute to student career readiness preparation via CDI platforms (Handshake and Big Interview) Prepare and send communications to students through Handshake Assist with delivering presentations and workshops CAREER COACHING (training provided) Under the supervision of the Director provide 1:1 support to undergraduate students (graduate students and alumni dependent upon experience) via drop-ins and scheduled appointments Provide cover letter resume and LinkedIn guidance and feedback to students Assist students with job and internship search strategies and resources Review video mock interviews via Big Interview and provide feedback Coordinate and conduct practice interviews with undergraduate students EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT Under the supervision of the Associate Director for Employer Engagement and Internships aid with recruitment marketing and promotion of employer involvement events (e.g. career fairs mock interview day information sessions/tabling) Assist with aspects of planning and staffing career fairs and events Assist the Employer Relations team with approving employer accounts job and event postings and email campaigns Help with creating and monitoring Handshake event registration pages Assist with greeting and checking-in employers on the day of an event ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES Attend weekly staff meetings Provide customer service and administrative support in the main office when needed Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be accepted into a Winthrop graduate program as a full-time (9 hours/semester) student Must be available for a full academic year (Fall and Spring) commitment Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace Demonstrate professional written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal time management and organizational skills Able to work on multiple projects at one time and consistently meet deadlines Conduct oneself in a highly professional and ethical manner; maintain strict confidentiality Clear commitment to helping students succeed in their career development and exploration
