The Marketing Career Assistant assists the Employer Relations and Career Advising teams in promoting the Career Centers programs and resources to students through compelling digital this role you will report to the Assistant Director of Employer Relations (Will Wright 19).Department: Career Center
Location: Becker Hall
Student supervisor: Will Wright
Work available: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday
Rate of Pay: $9.70/hr

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop lead and execute a weekly social media content calendar utilizing platforms such as Instagram TikTok and Canva/Adobe Express to create original content promoting all Career Center-related workshops programs events new initiatives and resource updates.
Collaborate effectively with other members of the Career Center work-study student staff (approximately 20 students) on joint promotional projects.
Strategize and implement engagement tactics (e.g. following collaborating) with other campus social media accounts and student groups to increase social media presence engagement and following metrics.
Occasionally provide front-desk coverage which includes greeting and checking in students for appointments with Career Center staff.
Qualifications:
An understanding of the Career Centers work and how we serve the student population is strongly preferred.
Proven experience or strong interest in creating high-quality engaging content on social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to generate creative content ideas and stay aware of social media trends and platform features.
Proficiency in using digital content design platforms (Canva or Adobe Express).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with the Career Center full-time and work-study staff.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet competing deadlines.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student information and Career Center operations.
