REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • General CV/thoracic surgery open
  • Coronary artery bypass surgery on pump
  • Valvular repair
  • Valvular replacement

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified PA (required)
  • Licenses: Active WA License highly preferred; will consider those obtaining license
  • Experience: Cardiothoracic Surgery experience including OR and ICU management
  • Other Qualifications: Local candidate highly preferred; clean malpractice/background; NPDB Self-Query report required
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide surgical first-assist for cardiothoracic procedures (CABG valve repair/replacement etc.)
  • Manage postoperative patients in the ICU and acute care settings
  • Round on hospital patients (5-10/day) and perform admissions (0-3/day)
  • Participate in clinic support as needed (5% of time)
  • Take night call (5p-7a) on weekdays and weekends covering cardiothoracic emergencies and consults
