Schedule: Part-Time/PRN
Shift: 6:30 AM 7:00 PM
Days: Monday Sunday (Varies)
Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to join our Respiratory team on a PRN day shift basis. In this role youll work closely with physicians nurses and patients to provide high-quality cardiovascular diagnostic testing and monitoring while helping ensure exceptional patient care and outcomes.

- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and identify heart rhythms
- Prepare patients and apply cardiac monitoring devices
- Educate patients on the proper use and care of cardiac monitors
- Process maintain and document cardiac monitor tracings and test results
- Communicate monitor findings promptly with ordering and corresponding physicians
- Assist with patient scheduling and maintain accurate documentation
- Support physicians and clinical staff with patient flow chart preparation and other patient care activities
- Perform routine maintenance on cardiovascular equipment and report issues to Biomedical Engineering
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Clean and maintain TEE probes and TEE probe cleaning equipment as applicable
- Monitor stock and organize supplies while checking expiration dates
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Skills
- Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients providers and clinical teams
Experience
- One year of related healthcare experience
- Previous on-the-job training or training through an Allied Health program
Certifications
- Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) through CCI
- Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) through CCI
- Certified EKG Technician (CET) through American Allied Health
Additional Qualifications
- Additional language skills are a plus
