Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) La Jolla CA

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager (RN) to lead clinical operations support nursing teams and promote excellence in patient care. Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and workflow within the assigned clinical department

  • Develop and manage staffing plans to support safe and efficient patient care

  • Promote quality safety and evidence-based nursing practices

  • Support and mentor nursing staff through coaching education and professional development initiatives

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care services

  • Monitor department performance and identify opportunities for process improvement

  • Ensure appropriate utilization of resources equipment and staffing support

  • Assist with patient flow care transitions admissions transfers and discharge processes

  • Participate in budget management and operational planning activities

  • Foster a positive collaborative and patient-centered care environment

  • Support organizational goals related to quality outcomes patient satisfaction and staff engagement

Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing required

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Advanced clinical certifications preferred based on specialty area

  • Previous nursing leadership or management experience required

  • Strong communication problem-solving and team development skills

  • Experience in acute care or critical care environments preferred
