Advanced Practice Provider Cardiothoracic Surgery

Full-Time 4x10s Monday through Friday Rotating Call Naples FL

This is a first-assist surgical Advanced Practice Provider role inside a busy full-service cardiothoracic program in Naples Florida. You will be in the OR for CABG valve procedures aortic surgery TAVR/TAVI lung resection esophageal surgery and more then following your patients through the post-op ICU. With a strong compensation package sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available this is a compelling opportunity for an experienced CT surgery Advanced Practice Provider ready to do meaningful work in a growing program.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Florida ACNP license
  • Active Advanced Practice Provider licensure in the State of Florida
  • Active NCCPA certification
  • DEA registration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of CT surgery experience
  • Vein harvesting experience (required)
  • Demonstrated surgical exposure across: CABG/bypass valve repair and replacement aortic surgery TAVR/TAVI lung resection esophageal surgery first-assist in OR post-op ICU management and chest tube management
  • Completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Provider program
  • Board certification in area of specialty (board-eligible candidates considered with commitment to obtain certification within 6 months of hire)

Preferred:

  • LVAD/MCS experience
  • Epic EMR proficiency

Responsibilities

  • First-assist in cardiothoracic surgical cases including CABG valve repair and replacement aortic surgery TAVR/TAVI lung resection and esophageal surgery
  • Perform vein harvesting independently
  • Manage post-operative patients in the ICU including chest tube management and hemodynamic support
  • Take rotating call coverage
  • Collaborate with the surgical team and interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Deliver direct patient care under approved protocols with physician supervision
  • Document patient care accurately in Epic and maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams patients and families
  • Participate in quality improvement performance evaluation and continuing education activities
  • Contribute to policy development and clinical program growth as the department expands
