Role Overview: This role involves monitor advanced life-support equipment administer medications and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex care plans. This role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to respond quickly to life-threatening situations while delivering compassionate patient care.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a CVICU/CTICU
- Flu Vaccine Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed
- BLS ACLS required via American Heart Association; NIHSS required
- VA OR Compact License in hand at the time of submittal
- EPIC Charting Proficiency Experience Required
- Skills Required: Arterial line management; Blood Product Administration; Central line care/management; PICC line management; Starting IVs; Continuous IV sedation; Procedural Sedation Administration; Titrate Cardiac drips; Titrate Vasoactive drips; strong neuro experience required (post brain surgery EVD exp/ventriculostomy); FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Multi-system organ failure; CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft); Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump; Impella; Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR); Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR); Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention; Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring; IV insulin protocols; CVVHD/CRRT; CVA/Acute Stroke management; Assist with management of BiPAP CPAP; Care of Ventilated Patient; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC); Interpretation of ABGs; Suctioning (ETT NT); Ventilator Management; Infection Prevention; Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE; Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound VacSkills/Experience Preferred: Chemo experience anticoagulants Pharmacokinetic Dosing Renal Dosing
- Skills Preferred: Thermoregulation: hypothermia/hyperthermia; Chronic/Acute Renal Failure; Accessing Ports; External ventricular drains (EVD); ICP monitoring
- Special Equipment: Hemosphere Quantum Accuryn
Schedule:
- Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Float Required
- Weekend Coverage: Every Other
