• Pay Range: $32.00 $43.00 per hour
• Compensation based on years of experience

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and step-down level care. This role involves advanced patient assessment ECG interpretation emergency response and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills advanced cardiac assessment abilities and the ability to remain calm and decisive in fast-paced clinical situations.

• 36-bed Cardiac Specialty Unit
• Patient Ratios:
  • Days: 45 patients per RN
  • Nights: 56 patients per RN
• Support Staff:
  • 1 Technician per hall

• Chest pain
• Stroke
• COPD
• Post-operative patients
• Gastrointestinal conditions
• Accelerated heart rhythms
• Drip management
• Step-down level care from PCU

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care according to hospital policies and standards
• Perform continuous patient assessment and cardiac monitoring
• Interpret ECGs and cardiac rhythms accurately
• Respond promptly to arrhythmias and emergency situations
• Provide care for:
  • Young adults (1839)
  • Adults (4064)
  • Geriatric patients (65)
• Stabilize pediatric patients under 16 years old until transfer if required

• Develop and maintain expertise in:
  • Cardiac monitoring
  • Step-down patient care
  • Drip management
  • Psychosocial and spiritual patient support
  • Pathophysiology and therapeutic interventions

• Identify and address clinical risks and unsafe practices
• Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Graduate of an accredited nursing program:

• Diploma
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Minimum 1 year of acute care Registered Nurse experience required

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse License or Compact Multistate RN License required
• BLS Certification required upon hire
• ACLS Certification required within 1 year of hire
