Job Summary
Under the supervision and direction of the physician the Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing documenting and communicating the results of the diagnostic 2D and M-Mode echocardiographic procedures as well as stress echocardiograms. The Cardiac Sonographer is also responsible for the hook up disconnect and downloading of the holter monitors. Current BLS certificationLicensure - Certification from ARDMS or CCI is required. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) of Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
