With 632 beds Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is a major teaching and research hospital and home to five residency programs and a cardiology fellowship in partnership with Wayne State University School of Medicine. Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is verified as a Level II trauma center and accredited by the Joint Commission as a primary stroke center. The hospital is also known for clinical excellence and innovation in the fields of orthopedics neuroscience womens health heart and vascular and cancer care.
Scope to Work
Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations consisting of: Two-dimensional imaging spectral and color flow Doppler m-mode; trans esophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients. Instruction of medical personnel in technical performance clinical application and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound. May act as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students.
This is a Cardiac Ultrasound position; only RDCS ACS or RCS credentials are required.
Qualifications
- Required associates degree or equivalent Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
- Minimal as gained at student level. Required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
- CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDE Cardiac 1 Year required
- CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac General Vascular 1 Year required
- CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required Or
- CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required Or
- CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Registered (RDCS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Cardiac 1 Year required Or
