OurMCHSEcho department continues to grow in innovation education and technology and we are looking for amazing Cardiac Sonographers to join our team.

Competently performs complete echocardiographic studies integrating all cardiac echo imaging modalities and procedures necessary to obtain all pertinent patient data. Documents patient data and echo exam information completely and accuratelyutilizingthe Echo Information Management System and other necessary computer applications. Functions independently while using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to obtain a comprehensive Lead Cardiac Sonographers Advanced Cardiac Sonographers Echocardiographers Physicians and other team members toassistin interpretation of echocardiographic the orientation training and education of all levels of trainees students and visitors assigned to extend toincludesstress lab and stress echo lab procedures and outreach. Mustdemonstratethe knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality care appropriately to the age of thepatientincludedneonate to geriatric patient populations. Demonstrates flexibility in learning all equipment imaging specialties and echocardiography procedures. Must understand sterile procedures and isolation precaution techniques and must exercise proper precautions to avoidprotentional exposures to radiation infectious hazards and sharp instruments. Is accountable todemonstrateproficiencyfor the skills outlined in theappropriate be able to tolerate frequent walking standing pushing and pulling. Must be able to reach above shoulder level and endure occasional twisting and turning. Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing. Must be able to hear at ordinary conversationlevel andpossess good visual acuity.

*This position will primarily support the Mayo Clinic Health SystemsLa Crossecampus and will require individual to travel to surrounding Mayo Clinic Health Systems sites based on business needs.

Associates degree or Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sonography program required.

Must have knowledge of cardiac pathophysiology diagnostic procedures and patient care procedures. Experience with outreach services helpful. Proven ability to work with co-workers physicians and all levels of healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications:

One-year of cardiac experience is preferred and be registry eligible. Minimum of one-year experience in adult and pediatric cardiac sonography including experience with transesophageal and stress echo preferred.

Licensure or Certification:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or registry eligible for RDCS or RCS. Registry eligible employees must obtain RDCS or RCS within one year of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Valid Minnesota and/or Wisconsin drivers license.
