The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Per Diem will:
- Maintain the safe operation of designated equipment and instruments.
- Set up equipment prior to procedure and assist in patient preparation as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of procedure utilizing event log on hemodynamic monitoring system.
- Maintain the power injection and accurate monitoring of image acquisitions during procedure.
- Perform as active member of cath lab team in assisting with other duties including supply and inventory management patient safety staff development and educational activities.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved ARRT Radiology technology program or Graduate of an approved and accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent.
- Registered Radiology Technologist RT (R) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist RCIS. Experienced in invasive cardiovascular procedures.
- Requires a working knowledge of the x-ray equipment with the ability to assist the physician.
- Requires a working knowledge of radiation safety and the hemodynamic monitoring systems.
- Possesses the strong knowledge of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures and the ability to recognize cardiac arrhythmias.
- Maintains and understanding working knowledge of monitoring equipment information system emergency equipment and departments specific equipment.
- Possesses the ability to think and move quickly in order to deliver quality and efficient patient care.
- Possesses the skills and sensitivity to work well as a team member with physicians patients and co-workers.
- Demonstrates flexibility in response to unexpected changes in work volume emergencies and staffing and schedule changes.
- BLS Certification required as approved by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification required.
Salary Range:49.00 - 49.00 USD
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors including job-related work experience internal equity and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
