As our Per Diem Cardiac Anesthesiologist you will join our collaborative and growing team at St. Joseph Medical Center (SJMC). SJMC is a 385 bed Level II Trauma tertiary care medical center in downtown Tacoma.

Every day you will support our long-standing 3-star STS cardiac surgery program and growing interventional platform. Case mix includes open heart high risk thoracic/vascular electrophysiology and structural heart cases (with care team supervision in EP lab).

To be successful in this role you will be a skilled board-certified and compassionate Cardiac Anesthesiologist. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care
• Stay current with research and best practices in Cardiac Anesthesiology to provide evidence-based care

• BC/BE Anesthesiology (American Board of Anesthesiology)
• Fellowship in cardiac anesthesiology and diplomat status in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (testamur status considered for recent fellowship graduates)
• Have an active medical professional license in the State of Washington
• Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
