Summary
We are looking for an experienced expert to spearhead the acquisition strategy for significant capital investments in the Energy and Utilities this critical position the successful candidate will manage the full spectrum of sourcing activities guaranteeing that essential infrastructure projects receive premium materials and services while strictly adhering to financial limits. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire procurement process for major capital undertakings spanning from defining initial needs and selecting vendors to finalizing contracts and overseeing delivery.
- Formulate and implement strategic sourcing roadmaps that support organizational objectives with a focus on reducing costs minimizing risks and strengthening supply chain durability.
- Perform thorough market research and assess potential vendors to find reliable partners able to satisfy the distinct technical requirements of energy infrastructure.
- Direct sophisticated negotiations to obtain advantageous terms competitive pricing and service level agreements with suppliers and contractors.
- Partner closely with engineering operations and finance departments to ensure procurement efforts align with project schedules and technical specifications.
- Track supplier performance and cultivate relationships to guarantee adherence to quality benchmarks safety protocols and contractual duties.
- Generate and deliver comprehensive procurement reports to executive leadership emphasizing expenditure analysis cost-saving potential and emerging risks.
- Guarantee all purchasing activities adhere to internal guidelines industry regulations and ethical codes of conduct.
Requirements
- Demonstrated track record in procurement sourcing or supply chain management specifically within the Energy and Utilities industry.
- At least 1-3 years of practical experience overseeing capital projects or large-scale purchasing initiatives.
- Proven proficiency in procurement frameworks contract legislation and managing vendor relationships.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities with the skill to decipher complex datasets and guide data-driven strategic choices.
- Outstanding negotiation and communication abilities capable of persuading stakeholders across all organizational tiers.
- Competence in utilizing procurement tools and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic high-speed environment while juggling multiple competing priorities.
- Possession of a professional procurement certification (such as CIPS or CPSM) is strongly recommended.
